Lots happening with Accor at the moment… If you took advantage of the opportunity to get instant platinum with Le Club Accor Hotels (or even if you didn’t), this offer might interest you.
With bookings made before 30 November, 2013, for stays up until 31 December, 2013, you can earn 5 times the usual number of miles. This would normally mean that you earn 5 miles per euro spent at Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, etc. However, with platinum status, your earning is essentially doubled, so you would earn 10 miles per euro spent.
In order to take advantage of this offer, you first need to set up your Le Club Accor Hotels to transfer miles automatically to Air Berlin topbonus miles. This would normally mean that, once you accumulate 4,000 Accor points, these would be converted to 2,000 topbonus miles. (this is one of the major drawbacks of the Le Club Accor Hotels programme that catches out a number of people)
However, by subsequently clicking on this link and following the instructions to pre-register, your account will be set up to automatically transfer points to topbonus after every individual transaction. Much, much better…
This promotion could become even more interesting if you find a great deal in Accor’s “private sales”, currently running until 31 October, 2013.
In addition, don’t forget that Accor offers 12-16% cashback with Topcashback (less on Quidco at the time of writing), although I’m pretty sure you can’t combine cashback with the private sales promotion.
