For UK residents, Topcashback is one of the best shopping portals available. Essentially, you receive a rebate of some or all of the commission that Topcashback receives. In others words… cash back on online purchases you were already planning to make. If you’ve never tried it, I recommend signing up using this link. (I would receive a much-appreciated small commission)
Many people originally signed up for Topcashback due to the ability to cash out as Tesco Clubcard points, which many of us then convert into Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles or Avios. The only inconvenience is that a maximum of £50 can be withdrawn annually as Clubcard points – however Hilton cashback was not subject to this cap, at least until recently.
This convoluted route meant that you could receive quite a lucrative rebate by booking a Hilton hotel via Topcashback, converting the cash back to Tesco Clubcard points, and then subsequently converting those Clubcard points into miles, preferably during a conversion bonus promotion.
Alas, this rebate has now come to an end. Hilton hotels appear to have withdrawn from both Topcashback and Quidco. Hopefully the move is just temporary, but for now you cannot earn cash back in the UK on Hilton stays booked directly.
If you have some Hilton stays coming up, you can earn a few American Airlines AAdvantage miles by booking Hilton stays through the AA shopping portal. At the moment, this looks like 2 miles per US dollar spent, which is a far cry from the usual cash back offered on Topcashback. But for now it might have to do… Please leave a comment below if you know of alternative cash back options for Hilton hotels.
