Hyatt Gold Passport have waited until the last minute before announcing details of their latest chain-wide promotion, called “More Points More Play”. It will run from 1 September until 30 November, 2016.
Since the promotion only covers an eligible period of 91 nights (September to November), two months of 30 days and one month of 31 days), it will be hard for all but the most frequent traveller to qualify for the maximum 75,000 points from 25 nights. However, previous promos occasionally required a minimum of 15 nights, which turned off many infrequent travellers. So, this promo looks like a good compromise.
75,000 points for 25 nights works out to 3,000 points per night. In valuation terms, that is approaching $50 per night of value. Probably not quite mattress run territory, unless you are a couple of nights short or have a cheap Hyatt location in the vicinity (and Diamond status for a 1000 / 500 point amenity bonus), but still well worth moving stays to Hyatt properties if you can.
As always, paid rates booked on hyatt.com will qualify, along with Points + Cash quasi-award bookings.
Pre-registration is required, although can usually be done retro-actively. Here is the website for registration.
