Rocketmiles is an online hotel booking service. Instead of cashback or other similar incentive, Rocketmiles offers miles from a number of airline programmes. The minimum earned is usually 1.000 miles per night.
Until 21 October, 2016, Rocketmiles are offering new clients 3,000 bonus miles (from almost all of their partners) for their first hotel booking.
To earn the bonus miles, you only have to make the booking before the 21st; the actual stay can be well into the future.
If you sign up to Rocketmiles via this referral link, you might also receive an additional bonus of 1,000 miles. (or at the very least you’d be helping support this blogger’s travel habits since I would get 1,000 miles for referring a new member)
And finally, your booking will earn you at least 1,000 base miles.
Therefore, with a one-night booking somewhere, you can earn at least 4,000 miles, maybe even 5,000. This is well worth doing, even if you only use the service once.
Note that bookings made via Rocketmiles are not usually eligible for hotel loyalty programme status credit. You also won’t earn points. But some hotels do extend elite benefits even if the booking was made indirectly. Even so, it might make sense to book an independent hotel via Rocketmiles and try something new.
