I must admit to an immediate feeling of panic when I was approached to be one of the speakers at a miles & points seminar. But then I thought it might be fun so I agreed! 🙂
Frequent Traveler University is a series of seminars devoted to teaching miles and points enthusiasts the best way to maximise their frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards. As you might expect, it tends to have an American focus, but FTU will be coming to London for the first time in May 2018!
Frequent Traveler University will take place at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel on 12-13 May, 2018.
FTU London consists of two full days of seminars from some of the world’s best-known travel bloggers and industry experts (and…err… ME!). Besides the learning, there will be ample opportunity for socalising and making new friends who share our passion for miles and points.
How Do I Sign Up?
FTU London costs £249. This price includes coffee and tea all day, as well as buffet lunches on the Saturday and Sunday.
However, if you book during January – using the promo code UKEARLY – you will receive a discount of £30.
You can register for FTU London by clicking here.
Full disclosure: I will receive a small affiliate commission at no cost to you – which is how I get compensated for the cost of flying up to London for the weekend – so thank you in advance for using my affiliate link.
Where Should I Stay?
Well, if you live in London or nearby, you can stay at home since the main seminars run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. But if you are interested in staying at the Renaissance hotel, there is a special group rate of £109 that you can access by clicking here.
Of course, the Bath Road outside of Heathrow airport has many different hotel options if you prefer a different hotel chain, want to use points, have a juicy Accelerate target from IHG, etc.
The Bottom Line
I won’t claim that you will definitely receive more than £219’s worth of travel hacking tips and tricks – although with two whole days of seminar I suspect you should – but it certainly should be a fun event for any reader who is passionate about miles and points and fancies spending a May weekend with myself and other experts and enthusiasts in London.
Again, you can sign up by clicking here and using the promo code UKEARLY.
